About

I was born in 1987 in Hamilton as Rosanne Bell, and have been living in Auckland for the past 6 years. I have been married to my husband Marcus Croucher for one year now, and loving it! 

My interest in pursuing creative expression has developed consistently from childhood, with endeavours in drawing, writing, ceramics and fashion design. 

A consistent love of painting, however, led me to study a Bachelor of Design and Visual Arts at Unitec, majoring in Visual Arts. I have just completed this degree, and have received a scholarship to undertake a Master of Design at Unitec in 2012 to focus on my painting practice at an advanced level.

I am a Christian, and am inspired by God's creation, the relationship between God and us, and challenging the way we see these. I attribute involvement in my local church Equippers Auckland as a large influence on my artistic ambitions. I was priveleged to lead a visual arts team at my church, which has enabled me to manage, curate and participate in my first group show titled Beauty in the Broken in the Mercury Theatre 2010. In addition, through this involvement I've been able to participate in venue decoration, school makeovers in the community, and the donation of paintings to Ronald McDonald House, a division of Starship Hospital.

My paintings mainly consist of oil and acrylic on canvas, with a dominant focus on elements of landscape and realism.
